Before leaving Byron we had to do one last hippie thing which is yoga. It actually felt so good to stretch because I was still tight from surfing and all the walking we did. It was a great way to start the day. When we got back we packed our bag and headed out. We stopped at Golden City where Max made us BLT sandwhiches while we watched the surfers.
We then made the treck to Brisbane where we had a free day. When we first arrived at the hostel we packed our small bag for Fraiser Island. For the next couple days were going on a boat out to this island so there isnt enough room for all our huge bags so everyone had to pavk a weekend bag. Once we finished we all hopped on the free city ferry and took it out a ways then walked back. We walked through the botanical garden and a happening area called Southport. It’s amazing how much Brisbane reminds me of Miami. The temperature is exactly like our winter, so many of the plants are the same, and even the architecture is very similar in style.
After walking around we went back to the hostel to shower before dinner to meet our 3 new backpackers that are joining the original 17 people group. After dinner a bunch of us went out bar hopping and clubbing. Here’s to another sleep day on the bus tomorrow.
