Sorry for the delay in posting everyone. Our time in Perth has been a vacation from our vacation. Because we are staying with an elderly couple that we haven’t seen in 10 years, it has been a lot of relaxing and catching up.
Day 8 (7/4/14)
We woke up and went to Val and Julien’s gradson’s birthday. Their family is just as kind as they are and it was a lot of fun talking woth them. Plus there was a ton of delicious food. After brunch we went to the pier in Inaloo and AQWA which is their seaquarium. They had a giant shark tank with a glass tunnel for pwople to walk through. It was very cool watching the sharks swim over us. They only had marine animals found in Australia and even an entire section filled with some of their poisonous animals.
After the aquarium we drove back home to relax for a bit and have some tea before we went to dinner for some of the freshest Chinese food I’ve ever had.
Day 9 (7/5/14)
Today we woke up early and took the train to Mandurah which was a little over an hour away. We walked around town for a little and then got tickets for a ferry boat that took you around looking for dolphins. We didn’t see any today but the canals they took us down has incredible houses on them and we also got to see an area that was a bird preserve. It was a beautiful day out with bright blue skies amd a pleasant ride of the boat so we didnt mind not seeing any dolphins. We then ate yummy fish and chips at Cicerellos and then finished off the day trip with ice cream.
After making the journey back home it was time for tea. Tonight for dinner we packed meat and bread for sandwhiches and went to Kings Park. It overlooked downtown Perth and had the absolute best view of the city at night.
